On-Line Access To View Your Medical Records

From 13.12.22 in line with government guidelines patients who have an NHS account or use the NHS App will automatically be able to view their medical record from this date.  If you have any queries regarding the information you see you must put this in writing/email to the practice. We cannot deal with any queries regarding this over the phone.

Being able to see your record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. It also means that you can access it from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday.

You will be able to:

  • Update your personal details
  • Change your account security information
  • Book/cancel appointments
  • Request repeat prescriptions
  • View your medical record

Remember it is important to keep your online health and social care records safe and secure.

For a list of commonly used terms you may find in your health record, please read the Glossary of Terms – Electronic Records Viewer or the NHS list of abbreviations.

Further help is available for understanding lab test results and the different types of blood tests.

*The practice has the right to remove online access to services for anyone that doesn’t use them responsibly.*

Information about a software issue that prevented documents from being visible to patients – update 08.03.24

We understand that some of our patients may have been unable to view certain documents (e.g. letters from the hospital) when using online services due to a software problem. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are pleased to inform you that this issue has been resolved; any new documents added to your electronic GP health records will be visible and it may take up to a month for older, affected documents to become visible.

Your GP team will have been able to access the letters, so your care will not have been affected during this time.

If you would like full access to your medical record online (before 13.12.22) please complete our application form and return to the practice with 2 forms of ID – one must contain a photo and the other your address.
