**2018 dates for Flu Clinics**

Ashton Branch Surgery – Thurs 22nd November 09.00-12.00 (over 65 years only)
Kelsall Branch Surgery – Thurs 8th November 09.00-12.00 (over 65 years only)

If you fall into any of the categories below you should receive an annual flu vaccination.  Please contact our reception staff now to arrange an appointment if you are:

  • aged 65 years or over
  • a carer
  • pregnant
  • children aged 2 and 3 (given as a nasal spray)
    (*please note children in reception class and Years 1, 2 , 3, 4 and 5 will be offered the nasal spray in school*)

or suffer from a long term condition eg:

  • chronic respiratory disease
  • chronic heart disease
  • chronic renal disease
  • diabetes
  • impaired immune system

Please note the flu vaccination cannot cause flu as it does not contain any “live” virus.  It may be tender near the injection site and less often cause a slight temperature and aching muscles for a couple of days.
